We Grew Something ...

.. Well Dawn grew something .. and it lived!!

We have been watching this lily we planted after we bought some bulbs at Gardeners World Live. The guy on the stand said we may not get any flowers on it this year. We just thought we would see what would happen. The slugs had a go at it, that is what happened. BUT ... we fought back and they went from strength to strength. Then it was a race against time to see if it would flower before we went away ... or Sods Law as it is known!

Thankfully it burst into flower yesterday. As you can see there are a number of other flower heads yet to open. So we have a late summer/ early autumn splash of colour outside the window.

Mad last minute panic here now ... why do I get so stressed about going away!!
