Barbican greenery

Beautiful summery day today.  I woke up feeling a bit rough (still shaking off Tim's germs, I think), but felt better as the day went on.  I took a small detour on the Barbican highwalk this morning to look at the flowers up there - and they are beautiful at the moment!  I liked this view with the Barbican Centre in the background and an abundance of meadowy type flowers in the foreground.

Went to Bunhill Fields at lunchtime with my friends Char and Mags - it's so nice there when it's hot, as there is lots of lovely shade provided by the huge trees.

Had a couple of meetings today and spent much of the afternoon stuffing envelopes (with help from the rest of the team), for a fairly sizeable mailing.

Tim worked from home again today, and went to the doctor's this afternoon for some antibiotics for what seems to be the start of a chest infection.  Hopefully he'll knock it on the head soon enough.

Horrible news from West London this morning of the terrible tower block fire there.  Thoughts are with all those who have lost loved ones, and those who may have escaped with their lives but lost everything else :(
