Sunday 16 September 2012: Distorted Image

Running blip today. I got up at 5:30, and shortly thereafter ventured out. I ended up staying out for an hour and 20 minutes, which felt great - especially because no shin splints (or other pains) YAY!! I was also pleased with the additions to my running wardrobe I made yesterday: a couple of singlets and some thinner socks: my feet felt more natural/less cushioned and constrained; and with the singlet instead of a big sloppy old t-shirt I could sweat much more effectively, and move my arms more freely, both of which helped with running more easily.

I ventured up to Faulconbridge and along Sir Henry's Parade in search of this:the closest thing we have to a ruined castle. I failed at that, going just not quite far enough. Instead I found a pylon - with which Mstr 5 was very taken. ;-)

I've located it on the map now (dunno how I missed it before) so next time I'll see if it's all fenced off or whether I can get close to photograph it.

Anyway, on the return trip I found myself rather amused by this sign, especially because to my eyes there was even less image than this apparent: the condensation on the mirror made it look to me like an almost-complete white-out - which I thought qualified as a bit more than a "distorted image". ;-)

I also took a photo of a bee nomming on our cherry tree, and a second I almost blipped, but in the end decided to go with this, largely as it amused me, but also because I blipped cherry blossom just the other day.
