Emerging Slowly

Tortoises have always appealed to me, not least since Dad read the Aesop Fable of the tortoise and the hare to me as a child in the 1960s in Dublin.

Today I muse on how busy my life continues to be and how I seem to choose a frantic speed of living  automatically and stuff my diary to the gills.  What if I stopped doing this?  What if the true me moves at another 'slow time' pace, and is aching to be let roam?  Can I dare to try to take time to allow my truer and hidden self emerge in the final decades of my Life?
