Ole pole

Captured this on a railway bridge across the River Ythan at Ellon.

The line between Fraserburgh and Aberdeen closed in 1965 and the Ellon Station was demolished around 1974. It's interesting to see old photos of the extensive network of railway stations and lines which linked the towns of the North East if Scotland.

It's such a pity that brilliant links could have been used by commuters nowadays but thanks to Beecham the whole lot was scrapped.

I liked the texture of the wood and the array of metal work on this old pole.
