i stopped off at Whole Foods for lunch on the way into the office--this is the fire station across the street.

last night we had a successful first meeting of our new English Department Graduate Student Organization--30 minutes of business followed by four hours at the pub. really, though, it is exciting being a part of this; seeing and knowing and feeling that all of us are in the same boat with this stuff: the classes, the logistics, the uncertain futures (then again what futures are certain?).

put in a few hours today, got some more photos of the graduate faculty, set up some other appointments. time is moving frighteningly fast and i am all out of ways to be interesting and articulate.

i am feeling better and it appears that Leah is getting better everyday too.
