Incoming.........

After a late start, seeing Juby as it was her birthday, I went to Iping common to see if I could find Britain's largest fly - Tachina grossa.
At first I thought I was going to be disappointed, but then just as I was about to leave, I found one - and he was huge!! 
So he just had to be my blip today, seen here beside a 'normal' blow fly size fly you get some idea of his size!
I guess he is the stuff of nightmares for some, but to me he looks like a cuddly little bear - but then I am odd!!
