Yesterday's tomatoes

I'm trying to clear the vegetable beds of some of the summer stuff now, so have tidied the butternut squash up - just leaving those stems that have fruit on, pulled all the green pepper plants up, and thought I could get rid of the tomatoes too. So I picked all the ripe and almost ripe ones, but it seems that there are so many green ones left on the plants that I'd better leave them for another week. Oh well.
