Lovely drive to the Corran Ferry and across to Ardnamurchan, sunshine all the way. We drove back via Fort William. Sad and surprised to see how many closed shops there are now. As the second largest town in the Highlands - Inverness is bigger - it doesn't seemed well served by shops and services. In my memory it has never looked prosperous, but today it looked quite pitiful and getting a cup of tea - apart from at Morrisons - was impossible. We actually got back in the car and drove elsewhere.

What I love about this trip is that it's pretty much waterside all the way from Oban, delighting my watery Cancerian heart:)

This is looking down Loch Eil to Ben Nevis in the cloud. The boat seems to be called Randy Miss , in need of a lot of TLC as I imagine Randy Misses are, not unlike Fort William.
