1007. JulyPhotoChallenge #cup

This is my husbands grandfather's cup dated 1939....it's engraved with his name B. Knight ....he was a career soldier and was captured at St. Valery with the 51st Highlanders who defended the BEF and some French soldiers whilst they were being evacuated from Dunkirk ( http://51hd.co.uk/history/valery_1940 ) and was held prisoner of war until 1945....he never spoke about his experiences and we were fortunate to see where he was held in Torun, Poland last year.
