Friday Night

Friday Nights all right .....all reet....in ....Newcastle

Out on a Friday night sampling the local beers. P and A are over from New Zealand and we went out for a lovely meal in an Italian restaurant with home made tagliatelle and antipasta and ....a bottle of montepulciano. Then down the high street for various beers.....Wylam brewery in this case (first Golden Tankard as in picture and then Angel in a different pub). Lovely company and lovely beer.

On the meander back home we saw a huge meteorite lighting up the sky travelling extremely fast and dropping sparks everywhere. It was very spectacular and very frightning (conjuring up images of apocalyptic events where Bruce Willis is magically brought out of suspended animation or retirement to lead a NASA mission to save our souls).....Hooray America.....

Then we heard a dull thud or bang somewhere over towards Hexham or Carlisle. Will be interesting to try to find out what it was tomorrow morning. Hope no one was hurt and it just burnt up in the atmosphere.

Enough excitement for tonight....or was it just the beer??
