Baby Cottontail

This precious little brown puff was on the mound behind our patio this morning. I'm especially glad to see it this morning. We had a sad event a couple days ago involving a teenaged rabbit that had most likely been hit. He looked intact, but was unresponsive. A gloved T moved him carefully to a wooded area and we had a faint hope that he might recover. I could not help with that part of the saga, I was too emotional but, I did dig the hole for a decent burial yesterday. So, it was a relief to see the tiny one hopping around this morning.

This day came in warm and sunny with too much humidity.

All hands disgusted. The residents of New Hampshire must be really mad after the audio tape leaks.
