Day 2

After all sorts of discussions and indecisions over when to get up and go out to start picture taking there were only myself and one of the women up at 6am to try and get the sunrise.

Unfortunately we made the mistake of heading to the Queens View.
The temperature differences between the ground and the water meant that there was too much mist to see -- well, anything!.
The furthest we could see was probably in this shot ....... not far.
However, I did get something I like, albeit it took a wee bit of Photoshop to lighten the fog and sharpen it up to get to this point.

After breakfast (about 8am) 9 of the group jumped in the minibus one of the group has and headed off closely followed by myself and my two companions from my two outings in a car.

We passed the van at the Queens View where they had stopped and like us early, failed to see the view and continued along Loch Tummel.
At one point I shouted to stop and reverse back into a spot where we could park.
I had seen the fog lifting and some interesting light on a wonderful looking bit of beach with some fantastic dead trees.
We spent over an hour and a half there and all of us agreed it was time very well spent and could alomost have spent the whole day there.
(The van occupants missed it)

We carried on to Rannoch Station (with a bit of a stop at a small waterfall) which is in the middle of nowhere ....... 18 miles from the nearest habitation.
There was a German tourist laughing at me lying between the tracks to get some shots. The black and white one seems to be going down quite well.

Lunch was partaken of in the bar at the Kinloch Rannoch Hotel (well worth a visit if you are 'passing' - the food was wonderful).

I spent the evening working on some pictures while 3 of the others headed to the church in Pilochry to do some "light painting" with huge torches on the spire. Amazingly, they didn't get a visit from either the minister or the police to ask what the hell was going on.
