Road Trip 6 - a little luxury

We departed Buckinghamshire and zoomed up the M6 to Leamington Spa where we introduced Little un to her Grandad Bert for the first time.  We spent a couple of hours together and tiddlypom was great,  she was actually quite calm and didn't behave like a whirling dervish so she got on very well with her Grandad... We'd been a bit unsure how the visit would go, and if Dave's Dad would be a bit overwhelmed by our little bundle of energy,  but it went really well and we had to drag ourselves away all to soon to make it to the next stopping point... 

We'd booked an apartment in a hotel near Lancaster to break up the journey... It had looked grand on the website, but was a really reasonable price, so I assumed that we would be in some ropey old shed round the back of the main building,  but in actual fact it was awesome.  Our apartment was about the same size as our house and was part of the old building, looking out across the lawns and duck pond.  It has a kids play park and plenty of space to run around... it even had a spa and swimming pool, although I didn't get chance to use it...  we could have spent a whole weekend there... it definitely felt like a bit of luxury... I'm keeping the name quiet though, as we'll be going back sometime,  so I don't want them to get too popular and put up their prices...
