The gardener shedward plods his weary way

Weather's improving after a dreadful yesterday - but it's still threatening. Nigel, today's gardener in the Linda Vista Gardens, is here returning to his shed before it gets bad again. He sometimes fills in when Martin, the regular gardener, is on holiday. I last saw Nigel up on a cherry picker in Abergavenny market hall hanging the enormous game birds and hares of which, if you've been following this journal assiduously, you're probably heartily sick! He likes working in the gardens; it's quiet, hardly anyone around, plenty of variety of job, and it's beautiful. How much nicer than many municipal gardeners put up with, planting endless bedding plants at breakneck speed and then onto the next park.
