A humbling experience

This lady and gentleman were part of a celebration of home care service users in Glasgow aged 100 or over. The lady is 102 and the gentleman is her neighbour and is aged 97. They were both wonderful. 

I struggled to hold the tears back when the man explained his medals to me - he had been in the Normandy landings and was part of the horrific Russian convoys. 

Weather: cloudy with rain at time; 17 degrees c; light jacket weather; nice enough day.
