when thaw sets in

This picture was taken inside the terrains of the ancient prison of 'Veenhuizen'. Now a large part of it is a museum. Very many beautiful old - all monumental - buildings to be seen there, but this shot had my preference. The ice is melting and still strong enough to hold a crowd.

Hard to choose from about 160 shots I made today. The buildings can be seen again. This will be gone soon and then for all times.
