Jimmy the Mole returns

This must be a relative of a mole I photographed some years ago. They move so quickly, it's really difficult to photograph them clearly. Here's a side view as he made his way to gather seeds under a bird feeder. Look at that tiny eye and sleek fur.

We're exhausted preparing for our garden re-hab. We were at the garden center again today, trying to pare down the plant list and came home with it longer of course. Thoughts from our VT gardener friend, Cheri, were seconded by the resident plant specialist, so we have made some substitutions as well to our designer's plan. The digging begins Monday morning at 8. It's 10 years since we put in the patio and the deer have done a number on many of the trees. We're replacing things with deer resistant items and adding to the area near the bird feeders.

For the Record,
This day came in sunny cool and clear, a perfect day.

All hands hoping the best for those suffering from Hurricane Harvey. Don't ask what I think of 45's pardon. I suppose it's the first of many up his sleeve when the going gets hotter.
