We (Mrs H and Houblon's Mom) managed to get here in the morning before the heavy rain came and washed away northern England. It was my first time here and quite an experience. I had no idea so many people had died in the services since the second world war. It is good they are remembered here. Of course it is very sad and the most sobering thing is the large amount of blank wall ready for the names to come. Why can't we learn from the past and stop killing each other ?
