Northern Waterthrush

A high school friend and her husband, returning from a trip to Canada, have stopped by to spend time with us on the Cape.  They are long time birders who have traveled from coast to coast and Canada to Mexico in a huge RV.  We took them on a hike at one of the Audubon properties, equipped with binoculars and cameras.  It was memorable for them because we spotted this Northern Waterthrush on the sandy ground  - one more species that they can check off their list.  I was a bit skeptical, but sure enough recent sightings have been reported to the Audubon office.
