Box

After the first trip to the swimming pool in many weeks, the sun came out.  Perfect for eating a leftover chicken wing and cheesy toast lunch outdoors, but it wasn't over-warm, but a new skirt had arrived in the post, so lunch in the box with a blanket it had to be.  The wasps meant it wasn't as relaxing as it could have been.

In the afternoon, a great trip to the Botanics in the sun.  Apart from plants and trees, there was a very enjoyable exhibition in Inverleith House (which usually feels a bit too highbrow).  http://www.rbge.org.uk/the-gardens/edinburgh/inverleith-house .

We could even make our own shopping bag using stamps in the shape of the plans of plants and paths from the design of the 1967 glasshouses.   It's better than it sounds.

Then, even more Edinburgh, an outdoor concert from the 'Barrow band'.  Scotland's premier fruit and vegetable propaganda band.   Unless there's a better one I'm unaware of.

An enjoyable wind down.
