Mekong sunset

Today started early as our bags (Including mine!) had to be outside our room by 7 am and actually they came to collect them at 6.30am!  We were off to the Cu Chi tunnels some miles outside Saigon.  They were the tunnels used by the Vietgong and the Guerillas to wreak havoc during the war.  Another fascinating and chilling place.

We also experienced the Monday morning rush hour In Ho Chi Minh City which is definitely not for the faint hearted.

We reached our riverboat this afternoon and have been settling in,  finding out how things work since then.  It all looks lovely.  There are lots of excursions planned.  Internet access is a little limited and we have been told that once we get into Cambodia on Wednesday, there will probably be no internet access.  So don’t worry if I don’t post for a few days!

Sunset tonight was magnificent, interspersed with wild displays of lightening.

The extra is Rob demonstrating the difficulty of getting in and out of the tunnels...
