Luxton Tor

On a very warm sunny autumn day we walked from near Lee Moor around the edge of the vast china clay workings on the south west side of Dartmoor. An area where huge areas have been excavated to extract the china clay and and where the waste has been dumped to form new hills around the holes in the ground.  The excavated area have a moonscape appearance. This tor is right on the edge of the workings and you can just see them below.
