Sunday 30 September 2012: La licorne
Choir practice all day today, the last one before the générale in a fortnight's time. On my lunchtime stroll around the village where we were practising, I spotted this old car. I can't find out much about it online, but I think it probably dates from the 1920s and is clearly very well looked after, even if it was just parked in the street. Licornes were made from 1901 till 1949.
So in October we will be singing Duruflé's wonderful Requiem in three different churches in the Aude, including the cathedral in Carcassonne -- a first!
