A wicked week

We have come to Northumbria for a few days.
It was quite wild on the way down, not to mention the red sky effect from the storm. Stopping for lunch at Berwick-upon-Tweed, it was so unbelievably dull and eerie, almost like an eclipse approaching. Leaving Berwick, it was really foggy the rest of the way so sadly no views to enjoy on the journey.
Once we'd arrived, it brightened a little so we took a walk along the beach and saw our first coastal ruined castle!

Apparently, in 1748 the Methodist John Wesley described Alnmouth as 'a small seaport town famous for all kinds of wickedness'!!
