Estuary

After a wild and windy night as the tail-end of hurricane Ophelia was passing by, it was a bright and very breezy day.

MrM drove Angus to the coast again today, and he walked from near Dunstanburgh to Alnmouth, taking photos as he went. MrM and I drove down to meet him late in the afternoon, and we all reached Alnmouth beach at the same time - unfortunately, just a little too late to see the sun setting. Good views over the estuary, all the same, and Louie enjoyed pottering along on the sand.

It was getting quite late by the time we got back in to the car, so plans for cooking a meal were abandoned and, instead, we decided to stop off in Alnwick on the way back for a meal at Carlo's.
