The weather is getting colder; refrigerated sandwiches for lunch aren't cutting it. Back to the old favourite of noodles with mangetout. To make it proper nursery food, add a sliced boiled egg.

One of my favourite places to eat in Glasgow is Ichiban; it reminds me of being very little and living in Yokohama. Ichi is also one of the few words of Japanese that has stuck with me since then: ichi, ni, san, shi, go, roku, nana, hachi, kyu, jyu.
