Langriggs

A morning spent doing 'paperwork' on the computer, an afternoon shopping for household essentials and an evening clearing up and cooking.

Made a quick stop-off in Cumbernauld Village on my way back from a relatively fruitless shopping expedition (not in Cumbernauld I must add) to see how autumn was looking in the historic Langriggs - a 'Fields in Trust' site, as there are few of them left in Scotland now.

In truth, the best of the autumn colours have now gone - as evidenced by the large number of fallen leaves - but there are still remnants of green, gold and yellow to be found among the deep browns and bare branches.

The structure in the foreground is the now-capped Langriggs Well from which villagers would have drawn water in times past.
