Deer London

A lovely sunny day so F and I walked from Wimbledon, across Wimbledon Common, to Richmond Park. Many red deer were out and about, and we could walk amongst them without frightening the animals. The stags have magnificent antlers. There are 300 red deer and 350 fallow deer in this royal park.

Also in abundance were the parakeets, which wheeled and squawked all around us. It was fantastic to go wandering, and we didn't feel like we were near a city, except for the odd plane heading for Heathrow.

Back home, we're awaiting curry and drinking beer.
