Back To Beelitz-Heilstätten

A very early start to Beelitz in rather changeable weather. Two tours interested me .One inside the  ruins of the early TB hospital and the second around the surgery department built in 1930.Both had been superbly designed and built. Sadly both have been very badly trashed and plundered .The 1930's building in particular. My collage shows forests surrounding the hospitals. Beautiful .A huge recently built modern tower with a lift takes you way up where a walk way allows you to cross high above the trees.Top left is an old stair arch with lovely light .Then a work by a Berlin artist. Bottom right is some of the remaining coloured glass in the surgery building .Much has been smashed and even more  plundered, including  beautiful floor tiles etc .The guide was superb and showed us photographs of the place when newly built and functioning .Pre looting and vandal days .
Time for CCTV and a return to respecting the property of others.

FOOTNOTE :At 23 30 CET I went to my balcony and there was the very last AirBerlin coming over the city .Normally not allowed as last flight is 11pm .. I didn't have my camera .Burst in to tears . Beautiful buildings trashed and  excellent airline likewise ..it's been too much at once .
