Saturday 6 October 2012: 'Wet Day Activities'

Wouldn't you know it, the weather has been terrific during the week (while I'm in the office all day), comes weekend and the temperature drops back to Winter levels and the rain starts. Gggrrrr.

I took both kids down to the police station this morning to report those dumb train surfers that D and I witnessed last night at the local train station. They took down all of the relevant info and asked me to email the photo to them and the shot I took of the boys number plate. They were going to follow it up this afternoon. They advised me that I should have called 000 to report their actions straight away and they might have been able to stop the train and have a car waiting at the station for when the boys arrived back. I didn't think of it at the time as I didn't see it as an emergency. I'll know what to do in future (hopefully never again).

As it's been raining most of the day, B asked if she could do some painting. She sat and quietly painted for about an hour and a half, even had a lesson from Mum on how to paint Noddy which she did very nicely.

I'm trying to clean out the hard disk on my computer as it was very close to being filled (mainly with photos and video files I've taken over the past few years), should be all backed up in a few more hours ready for a big DELETE to free up valuable computing space.
