On the Road to the Mull of Kintyre

10.1C with sunny sunshine and a few white clouds. Moderate NNW/N breeze.

Grocery shopping.

Went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. There were some surfers in Dunaverty Bay.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again along the path at the back of the beach with the last little bit back on the beach itself. A couple of seals popped their heads up from the waves to have a look at us as we walked along. The waves were rolling in at the far end of the beach then sweeping along the length of the beach as they broke. I have a good sequence of photos showing one wave's progress as it broke along its length and swept along the sand ... but I have no extras left !

The cottage in the photo is just uphill of the road that wends its way up and round the hill behind the far end of Carskey Bay on the way to the Mull of Kintyre.

There were no eggs on display at Little farm's roadside stand again.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
BBC Radio 2 was accompanying the painting.
