Films Not Dead

I spent sometime at photomonth.org PhotoFair today held at London's Spitalfields Market. "100 stalls and stands with photographers, books, magazines, products and services."

Some of the most interesting stands, which feature in my Blip for today, were the photographers who still use film exclusively. In fact Andrew Millar, pictured, focusses on the use of Polaroid images using film from the Impossible Project who still make the instant film. Andrew who lives in Whitechapel East London, explores manipulation techniques through instant film and the resulting images are excellant.

As a digital photographer who learnt his craft with film it was good to see the next generation of photographers using and exploiting to good effect film based photography.
