The Edge of the Wold

Sunrise

This was yesterday morning as I type this. Today (Tuesday) our morning walk was much greyer, and worse I had a dental appointment to go to afterwards.

As we tilt away from the sun it now rises in Lancashire rather than Yorkshire as seen from this location on the shoulder of the Knott. The Knotty pines have an attractive, diagonal descending profile from here, and all I needed was a raven in flight to add some ornithological interest, but it was not to be today.
