Lest We Forget

Sadly I had to work as well as continuing with the work on one of our alcoves. The remaining Tuttles did their bit through work (service) and scouts (parade). My Dad gave me a hand with one of the architrave pieces as it wasn't the straightest piece of wood we've seen. Nails, clamps and non-creepy PVA glue it was. Job done. Still loads to do: more architrave, fillin' holes, rubbin' down, paintin'. Then the TV can move in. After that, alcove No. 2. Fun, fun.

A flippin' good session of fin swimming tonight. Just as well as we have a gala coming up in December down south. Managed my first 50m Apnoea after just scraping 1 3/4 lengths a fortnight ago. Slowly but surely.... it's so hard being on the wrong side of 40. But making a regular habit of swimming almost daily certainly helps my lung capacity. Only a few more weeks to go.....

The day was capped off with an awesome card game of "Go Fish".
