Did my Fund Manager duty this afternoon at the opening of the new Mill St heritage corner in Farington to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Lancashire Cotton Famine. read more Local dignitaries planted a timecapsle as part of the event.. The event was a bit OTT with local clerics blessing the site and parading behind a brass band. They have made a good job of it though with centre piece giant weavers shuttle.
