The Edge of the Wold

A convenient view

The view down the Kent estuary from a convenient location in Arnside. Late Saturday afternoon and the sun was setting behind Ashmeadow, the sky was mostly overcast and there was an incoming squall from the opposite side of the estuary. Moments of unusual light are just that, moments, a minute later and the sun was lost in cloud and the squall arrived.

So far the promised snow has not arrived, which is just as well as Wifie is on her way back from Scotland after nearly a week away. Gus has had a bit of an upset after eating something crunchy of unknown provenance in the wood below the Knott. It meant several late night walks in the woodlands until he felt better. We're awaiting confirmation from Dr T that he finally made it home to South Wales after setting out very late from Birmingham.

Back blipped on 10 December. Changing the lens is those conditions was clearly a mistake, it's taken me ages to clean off the sensor spots and even now I can see loads.
