Back and Forth thru time

Fairytale of New York

evening all,

Old Age comes to us all.

Hair in awkward places like ears and nostrils,

increased volume on the TV,

squinting at the fine print and blaming it on cheap lightbulbs that make the room darker,

 scaling stairs that once you skipped up, but now seems like the north face of the Eiger, and then when breathlessly you reach the summit, you can't remember what you came up for,

favouring a little sleep in the afternoon and realising that the adverts for those comfy recliners are calling to you as you gently nod your head

It seems these inevitable malaises call to cats as well;

 this one has poorly teeth, a touch of arthritis in her paws, and is now on a concoction of drugs to make a professional cyclist raise their eyebrows, and more than a bit of feline dementia, so consequentially it seems she can't bend down too well anymore to drink her water, hence the cheeky soul is pinching mine.....

sad life , so sad miserable song to go with the blip

night all
