Light and Shade

Yesterday the weather was awful, it rained and sleeted all day long, and it was incredibly gloomy, definitely a day for staying indoors, all cosy and warm.
 
Today, however, is a different story altogether, a hard frost, and now very bright sunlight.  Very little sun reaches the ground in our garden this time of year, it’s just too low, but it did manage to cast a shadow on our shed door.
 
While on the subject of light and dark, I came across this quote which I dedicate to M.
