Wednesday 4 April 2007: Desert Bird Nest...
Each year Gila woodpeckers and Gilded flickers dig out brand new nests for their housing needs. After their babies take off on their own, the nest is abandoned and taken over by other birds for their own use. The saguaro cactus is big enough for all needs.
