Sunday Sesh

backblip

Found the remote for the TV - it was tucked away inside the hotel room's guidebook thingumayjig. Stupid place to put it if you ask me.

Wasn't particular up for a Full Scottish after what I'm now thinking was a dodgy pint of Guinness. Think it was the seventh, maybe the eighth. A bit of toast and bacon and some strong black coffee in a nice little Italian cafe was more than enough.

Had a lazy wander about the city centre in the sunshine and stopped off in this quiet wee pub for a beer and cheese toastie. Took forever but, like most people around the place, we weren't in any hurry.

Later, after a nice bit of pasta in an Italian restaurant that insisted on playing their 'Best Italian Album... EVER! a little bit above background music level, we all taxi'd it down the Clyde to the SECC to catch Kevin Bridges' stand up routine. An impressively polished show in front of a huge crowd from a comedian who seems to have an auld heid on his young shoulders.

Top banter.

Took the longish walk back to hotel with hundreds of others after deciding the queue for taxis wasn't going anywhere quick. Now that there's another huge venue opening up down that way next year I'm hoping someone's got a plan on how they're going to shuttle thousands of people out of the area as it was verging on pandemonium with just the one venue spilling out into the streets.
