Lichen

It was decidedly dreich today, so we decided to go up a Marilyn by Dingwall, but it was really so misty that we went to Mount Eagle instead. Most Marilyns have a great view, but Mount Eagle is different as it’s in the trees. We parked by a mast and failed to find the path marked on the map, and got wet feet in the bog before finding a forestry track. This was icy and we slid along to near the top where we had to fight through tress and then gorse to reach the summit. It’s a tick, but not a hill O could recommend. The blip is of the rather fine lichen near the mast.
