Into stratosphere and beyond...

So many photos to choose a blip from today after our visit to Brooklands museum. Here's the Barnes Wallis designed stratosphere machine, which was used to create a variety of weather conditions in order to test atmospheric effects on new plans and boats etc.

Brooklands was home to the motor racing circuit pre ww2 and vickers plane manufactures and aero design post war. 30% of Concorde was built here so they have one of the 20 that were made along with many other planes you can visit.
