The end of the day

After a day's work, we drove to Tamariu and had a glass of cava at a bar on the beach as the sun set. A nice way to end the day! It is lovely to have the sea so near, even if it's only to look at, rather than swim in.

Earlier, we had lunch in the only restaurant in Begur that has a 10-euro menu del dia. It was surprisingly good for the price: plain food plainly cooked -- I had chickpeas and potatoes to start, while S had escalivade, and then we had roasted rabbit with allioli, chips, and courgette fritters. Flan for pudding, and some not bad red wine. Very good value!
