Drever, McCusker & Woomble

Through to Celtic Connections - for, it being the tenth anniversary of “Before the Ruin,” (one of the finest records ever to come out of this land in my ‘umble opinion), Messrs Drever, McCusker and Woomble had decided on an extremely rare get together to give it a run through. And my word it was good. Better than the album even - just the depth of their musical performances really lifting it. McCusker on fiddle in particular was outta this world as they say. 
And it was snowy too! We’d arrived mid-afternoon and had the compulsory nose round the GOMA which was quite engaging for once, and we bumped into old colleague DM, before heading up to Citizen M. We even managed a seat in their trendeee bar which is the whole point of going there really. Still struggled with their bloody iPad controlled mood lights though. Switches aren’t so bad.
