Gordy galore

And so the outside, it bashes us in
Bashes us about a bit
Feel it tugging you, ploughing you flat
Then feel it filling your sails
And warm on your back

I wake and light the fire, work the day away. By 2:30 it’s time to pack and head to Kinghorn. Thence to Glasgow for a snatched night on the town.

We meet Gordon and Sarah at the CCA café. They’re drinking, I’m driving. We eat and head for the ABC where the support band, Lost Horizons, are already on. They’re not my sort of music, a bit emo, new romantic - sort of Kate Bush meets Alison Moyet. A back line of ex-Cocteau twins with pretty young things at the front, singing, prancing, and emoting.

Then it’s This Is The Kit. The real deal. Excellent. With a celebrity wind trio and an amazing electric guitarist called Neil. There’s a story about being introduced by Kris Kristofferson, which disintegrates in the telling. Too good.

It’s snowing again as we drop Gordon and Sarah at their hoos. Then back to Kinghorn before the Audi reverts into a pumpkin.
