Tippin' doon

It was absolutely throwing it down when I left the house this morning.

Todays weather, in addition to torrential rain, was "magic umbrella wind". The rain fell vertically, the trees were at rest. Not a whisper of breeze disturbed the pitter patter of raindrops. Until I put my umbrella up, when suddenly I was engulfed by a localised gale that threatened to snatch it away, or at least destroy it. Thank you magic umbrella wind. I didn't want my mornings to go too well otherwise I would have nothing to look forward to in the afternoons.

Went to see Idina Menzel at the Usher Hall this evening. She was very good indeed - I especially enjoyed "Defying Gravity" from the musical "Wicked".
