A little bit of Gladi

You've heard me bleat on about our excessive heat we have had throughout NZ for all of January - well today is such a different story.  Our temperatures plummeted from 34 yesterday to 22 deg today.

NZ (particularly the South Island) has been hit with horrendous storms, ex Cyclone Fehi the cause. This cyclone has caused gales, rain, flooding, roofs off etc. King tides are another problem to be dealt with. Low lying settlements being evacuated all over NZ.  And while we have had some rain today, further north of Christchurch the temperatures are in the mid to high 30's and fires are threatening properties.  State of Emergencies are in place in Dunedin, West Coast, Nelson and other places as well, expecting snow on the inland passes........ can we blame that stupid red moon that we couldn't even see last night?? I guess the king tides are linked.

Any rate, enough of that - its our 49th wedding anniversary today so we went out for a scrumptious breakfast.

Oh & btw this is tiny stamens of a gladioli

Rainie
