Heron

Woke up to a snowy morning. (See Extra) There must have been quite a heavy fall overnight but it's amazing how quickly it's thawing. Molly loved playing in it.
Because of the snow I decided to drive in to town and walk through the park from there for this morning's walk rather than driving up into the hills for a higher level walk. It meant we were by the river for quite a bit of the time and I soon spotted the heron. At one point it actually sat on the barrier beside the path but soon flew off as some people approached.
