But, then again . . . . .

Ironbridge.

With one free day before the stitching begins, we made our way over to Ironbridge to see Thomas Telford’s famous iron bridge. I suppose a little prior research might have been in order, but then again, it’s been there on view for the best part of 230 years, what could possibly go wrong? We are advised that we should come back next year; by then, with a little luck, the protective cladding should be removed and so we might be able to get a decent Blip of it. Mrs TD agreed to add a little colour to the otherwise dismal scene.

The extra was taken from approximately the same place, looking at the township across the river.

Having not seen the bridge, we cruised around the area not seeing all the other tourist attractions; after all, there are plenty in the area. However, we were disappointed that everywhere charged high parking fees as well as high admission fees; we were particularly annoyed that one of the worst offenders was fundamentally an expensive retail outlet.
